Door Pop on the Parkway

At 03:12hrs, Yorktown Heights Fire was dispatched to the Taconic State Parkway southbound in the area of RT 202 for a motor vehicle accident with possible extrication. While multiple YHFD units were committed to the dive call on RT 118, Engine Company 273 and Somers Engine 188 whom was transferred to YHFD HQ on the standby responded on the call. Rescue Company 16 and Car 2531, and 2532 responded from the dive call. Engine 273 was first to arrive providing the updated location and size up of a single vehicle on the guardrail with a total of 2 patients with 1 trapped; FD units stabilized the vehicle and upon arrival of Rescue 16 performed a simple door pop, units then assisted EMS and stood by for the tow. All units were clear of the scene at 03:48hrs.
