On August 5, 2014 Yorktown Heights Engine Company Chief Swart and President Zarzeski presented Past Chief Schneider with his 50 year plaque and badge. Past Chief Schneider joined the Engine Company in 1964, working his way up to the rank of Chief in 1982. After finishing his two year term expired as Chief, Robert stayed very active as a driver. Making numerous fire calls. He became known as the Chief Driver. Chief Schneider always put the best interest of the Engine Company first by training many of the senior drivers of today.
