PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Freedom of Information Law gives every person the right of access to certain public records created and/or maintained by the Yorktown Heights Fire District.

The YORKTOWN HEIGHTS FIRE DISTRICT has adopted Regulations governing when, where and how you can see and secure a copy of the Fire District records available to the public under this Statute.

According to these Regulations, records can be requested, seen and copied at the offices maintained by the Record Access Office of the YORKTOWN HEIGHTS FIRE DISTRICT, Jeanmarie Klaus, District Secretary, at 334 Underhill Avenue Suite 4B, Yorktown Heights, New York (914) 962-5561 ext. 2.

The Records Access Officer will provide you with a copy of these Regulations and help you to exercise your right to access.

RESOLVED that the regular meeting dates for 2016 of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Yorktown Heights Fire District shall meet at Station #2, Locksley Road, on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m., except for the month of December which will be held the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm, and as otherwise prescribed by law, and in the event a regular meeting date falls on a holiday, then the meeting shall be held the next succeeding evening, or on such other date as may be determined, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED that special meetings shall be called and held in conformance with Section 62 of the Town Law and Article 7 of the Public Officers Law. WHEREAS the equipment is necessary for the enhancement of fire communication for the Yorktown Heights Fire District RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Yorktown Heights Fire District that the District shall purchase radio equipment and it is further RESOLVED that the purchase shall be made with monies withdrawn from the Communication Reserve Fund not to exceed the sum of $25,000.00 and it is further RESOLVED that this Resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum.

Each separate bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope endorsed with the name and address of the bidder; the division of work covered by the bid (i.e. General Construction, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or Fire Suppression Sprinkler), the name of the project, and shall be addressed to Yorktown Heights Fire District. Proposals must be filled out and completed by hand (in ink) or typed on the forms that are included in the Project Manual and must remain bound in the "Project Manual". Again, the Bid Forms shall not be removed from the "Project Manual".

Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or Bank Teller’s Check in the form set forth in the "Instruction to Bidders". Said Bid Bond shall be in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, and shall be written by an A-rated Surety Company or better, licensed to do business in the State of New York.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days of the opening of bids, within which time the Owner may accept or reject any bid. The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Yorktown Heights Fire District reserves the right to waive any formalities in, and/or to reject any and all bids.

The successful bidder shall be required to obtain a Surety Bond in the full amount of the Contract, including all accepted Alternates, which bond shall be written by an A-rated Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New York, and acceptable to the Fire District’s legal counsel.

All contracts awarded pursuant to this Notice shall be subject to the provisions of Section 103 and other applicable provisions of the General Municipal Law. The Non-Collusive Bidding Certification in the Project Manual must be completed and signed for each Bid Proposal.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Yorktown Heights Fire District will take place on December 9, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Yorktown Heights Fire House located at 1916 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights, NY for the purpose

Electing one Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2015 and ending on December 31, 2019.

All duly registered residents of the Yorktown Heights Fire District shall be eligible to vote.

Candidates for District Office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Fire District, Jeanmarie Klaus, office of Joseph F. Eaton CPA, 334 Underhill Ave Suite 4B, Yorktown Heights, NY. Petitions can be picked up at the Secretary’s office Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. beginning Monday, November 6, 2014. The petitions must be returned to the Secretary, signed by a minimum of 25 qualified registered voters, no later than 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014.

The Fire District Board of Elections will meet on December 8th, 2014 at the Treasurer’s office, Joseph F. Eaton CPA, 334 Underhill Ave Suite 4B, Yorktown Heights, NY, at 6:00 pm to prepare the register.

the Yorktown Heights Fire District (hereinafter called “Fire District”), in the Town of Yorktown,

The Board of Fire Commissioners ("Board") of the Yorktown Heights Fire District ("YHFD"), pursuant to its Resolution made and entered at its regularly scheduled monthly public meeting held on the 10th day of June, 2014, invites submission of bids for the purchase of 2 Thermal Imaging Cameras.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Secretary of the Yorktown Heights Fire District, Town of Yorktown, Westchester County, New York until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the office of Castiglia & Eaton, 1924 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights, New York 10598, for 2 Thermal Imaging Cameras.

Specifications can be picked up at the Secretary's office, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bids will be opened Tuesday, July 8, 2009, at 8:00 p.m., at the Locksley Fire House.
