NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 pm at Station #2, 794 Locksley Road, Yorktown Heights, NY, in the Town of Yorktown on the 16th day of October 2018.
Pursuant to Tow Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.

Fire District that the District purchase 3 portable radios and it is further
RESOLVED that the purchase shall be made with monies withdrawn from
the Communication Reserve Fund not to exceed the sum of $16,500 and it is further
RESOLVED that this Resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the adoption of this Resolution is
subject to permissive referendum pursuant to Section 6-g (4) of the General
Municipal Law and shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption, unless
there shall be filed in the interim with the Fire District Secretary a petition signed
and acknowledged or approved in the same manner as a Deed to be recorded
by resident tax payers of the District owning taxable real property aggregating at
least ¼ of the assessed valuation of all taxable real property of the Fire District
as such valuations appear on the latest completed assessment of the Town of
Yorktown, protesting against such Resolution and requesting that it be submitted
to the qualified electors of the Fire District for their approval.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
KITCHAWAN FIRE AND RESCUE STATION
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that The Board of Fire Commissioners (“Board”) of the Yorktown Heights Fire District (“YHFD”), pursuant to a motion made and unanimously approved and entered at the special public meeting held on August 29, 2016, invites submission of sealed bids for a New Building Project.
SINGLE Prime Contract for the construction of a pre-engineered or pre-fabricated metal building system, to be known and used as the Kitchawan Fire and Rescue Station, 860 Kitchawan Road, Yorktown Heights, NY.
The bids shall be in accordance with the Specifications, Drawings and Terms of the proposed Contract. All Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder, addressed to Board of Fire Commissioners, YHFD, c/o Ms. Jeanmarie Klaus, Secretary of the YHFD, Yorktown Heights Fire District at 334 Underhill Avenue – Suite 4B, Yorktown Heights, New York 10598 and endorsed Kitchawan Fire and Rescue Station, New Building Project until 3:00 p.m. prevailing time on Tuesday May 23th 2017. No proposals will be accepted after said time and date. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Conference Room at Station #2, 794 Locksley Road, Yorktown Heights, NY at 5:00 PM on the same day.
OBTAINING DOCUMENTS:

BID SUBMISSIONS
Bids shall be made on the Proposal forms furnished with the Specifications, and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond acceptable by the YHFD, in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. Bidders who submit certified checks must accompany them with a Consent of Surety from a recognized Bonding Company. Checks shall be made payable to the YHFD and are to be held by the YHFD as a guarantee for the proper execution and delivery of the Contract and bonds to secure the faithful performance thereof. In default of such execution and delivery of Contract and Bonds, the amount of the deposit represented by the check shall be forfeited and retained by the YHFD as liquidated damages. No Bidder shall withdraw his bid within forty-five days (45) after the formal opening thereof.
The YHFD reserves the right to waive any informalities, in their discretion, in any proposals, and to award contracts in a manner deemed to be in the best interests of the YHFD and in accordance with the law, even if such award is to other than the lowest bidder. The YHFD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals. The accepted low bidder(s) will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond. All bids must contain a signed affirmation of non-collusion, included in the Bid Proposal Form, as per Section 103-d of the New York State General Municipal Law.

Contract to Purchase a Ford 2016 F-550 or equal
The Board of Fire Commissioners (“Board”) of the Yorktown Heights Fire District (“YHFD”), pursuant to
its unanimously approved motion made and entered at its regularly scheduled monthly public meeting
held on October 13, 2015 to go out to bid to purchase a 2016 Ford F550 (or equal) to replace the Fire
District’s brush truck (MA-8) and to be put into service for the same general purposes.
Notice is hereby further given that the sealed bids are to be submitted by regular mail, overnight mail or
in-hand delivery so as to be received by the office of the Secretary of the YHFD, Jeanmarie Klaus, c/o
Joseph F. Eaton, 334 Underhill Avenue Suite 4B, Yorktown Heights, New York 10598, by no later than
4:00 pm on November 10, 2015. No bids shall be accepted after that date and time. The submitted
sealed bids shall be opened by the YHFD Secretary at 8:00 pm at the Fire District regular November 10,
2015 meeting before the Board, to be held at Station #1, 1916 Commerce Street Yorktown Heights, NY.
The YHFD reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid best suited for specific
needs. Bids will be binding for sixty (60) days subsequent to bid opening. Bidding shall be in accordance
with instructions to bidders
INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS Price shall include delivery F.O.B. All manufacturers warrantees to apply.
The vehicle delivery shall be at an agreed upon date and time and upon no less than three (3) day’s
notice to the YHFD Secretary. The Vehicle shall also be delivered under its own power. Delivery by any
other means will be rejected. Bid shall list and state with sufficient particularity so as to provide ready
identification of any exceptions or deviations from specifications. All bids must be submitted in sealed
envelopes plainly marked with “Yorktown Heights Fire District Brush Truck” and the date and time of

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE YORKTOWN HEIGHTS FIRE DISTRICT, TOWN OF YORKTOWN, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK, TO WITHDRAW UP TO $25,000 FROM THE COMMUNICATION RESERVE FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING RADIO COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS the equipment is necessary for the enhancement of fire communication for the Yorktown Heights Fire District RESOLVED by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Yorktown Heights Fire District that the District shall purchase radio equipment and it is further RESOLVED that the purchase shall be made with monies withdrawn from the Communication Reserve Fund not to exceed the sum of $25,000.00 and it is further RESOLVED that this Resolution is adopted subject to a permissive referendum.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the adoption of this Resolution is subject to permissive referendum pursuant to Section 6-g (4) of the General Municipal Law and shall take effect thirty (30) days after its adoption, unless there shall be filed in the interim with the Fire District Secretary a petition signed and acknowledged or approved in the same manner as a Deed to be recorded by resident tax payers of the District owning taxable real property aggregating at least ¼ of the assessed valuation of all taxable real property of the Fire District as such valuations appear on the latest completed assessment of the Town of Yorktown, protesting against such Resolution and requesting that it be submitted to the qualified electors of the Fire District for their approval.

The deposit will be fully refunded to any bidder upon return of said drawings and specifications in good condition within ten (10) days after opening of bids. No refund will be made to a non-bidder or to those who have not returned drawings in good condition within ten (10) days after opening bids. Each separate bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope endorsed with the name and address of the bidder; the division of work covered by the bid (i.e. General Construction, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical or Fire Suppression Sprinkler), the name of the project, and shall be addressed to Yorktown Heights Fire District. Proposals must be filled out and completed by hand (in ink) or typed on the forms that are included in the Project Manual and must remain bound in the "Project Manual". Again, the Bid Forms shall not be removed from the "Project Manual".
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, or Bank Teller’s Check in the form set forth in the "Instruction to Bidders". Said Bid Bond shall be in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Base Bid, and shall be written by an A-rated Surety Company or better, licensed to do business in the State of New York.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days of the opening of bids, within which time the Owner may accept or reject any bid. The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Yorktown Heights Fire District reserves the right to waive any formalities in, and/or to reject any and all bids.
The successful bidder shall be required to obtain a Surety Bond in the full amount of the Contract, including all accepted Alternates, which bond shall be written by an A-rated Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New York, and acceptable to the Fire District’s legal counsel.
All contracts awarded pursuant to this Notice shall be subject to the provisions of Section 103 and other applicable provisions of the General Municipal Law. The Non-Collusive Bidding Certification in the Project Manual must be completed and signed for each Bid Proposal.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Annual Election of the Yorktown Heights Fire District will take place on December 9, 2014 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Yorktown Heights Fire House located at 1916 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights, NY for the purpose
Electing one Commissioner for a 5-year term, commencing on January 1, 2015 and ending on December 31, 2019.
All duly registered residents of the Yorktown Heights Fire District shall be eligible to vote.
