2nd Alarm Fire on Oakwood Ct.

At 17:06 hrs YHFD Volunteers and the Bedford Hills FASTeam were alerted to a Possible House Fire on Wharton Dr. First arriving units updated the address to a home on Oakwood Ct and gave a size up of a 2 story ranch style home with heavy fire showing. The first arriving YHFD units initially attempted an aggressive interior attack, but were quickly forced to back out due to Collyer's Mansion conditions as well as heavy fire conditions thought the house which later lead to an interior structural collapse in the home. A 2nd alarm was announced putting the BHFD FASTeam to work with their Tower Ladder and bringing the relocate companies into the fire ground. Members put L-51 and TL-57's ladder pipes to work as well as multiple handlines and master streams to bring the fire under control. After the main body of fire was knocked down; Yorktown Command held units from Yorktown Heights, Bedford Hills, and Somers to complete over haul until the fire was placed under control, all units were in service at 21:33hours.
