After already responding to multiple calls throughout the day. At 17:38hrs on Thursday, June 28th, the Yorktown Heights FD was requested to respond with our Rescue to the scene of a vehicle into a building on Cambridge Court in the Lake Mohegan Fire District. Car 2532, Rescue 16 and Rescue-Engine 270 responded on the assignment with 10 Yorktown Heights Volunteer Firefighters. Upon arrival, YHFD members surveyed the scene with LMFD command staff and the Yorktown Building Dept. YHFD crews utilized two Paratech struts to provide basic structural stabilization so the vehicle could be safely removed. Upon the arrival of Con-Edison electric, power to the building was secured and the vehicle was removed without incident. YHFD units operated on scene with Lake Mohegan Professional Firefighters Local 2956/ Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association career and volunteer members and the Yorktown Police Department until being released from the scene by the Mohegan FD IC just before 20:30hrs.
