Ladies and gentelmen of the YHFD, this is a fantastic web-site and serves the department well and with pride. Much has changed in the town and the department since I joined in 1977, but the pride and integrity of the Yorktown Heights Engine Co. No. 1 remains as strong as ever. Stay Safe All.

GREAT website!! Just wanted to pay my respects to an institution that has done so much for so many. Having father who is still one of your members and past cheifs, my brother and sisters have basically grown up in the Firehouse. I am honored to have known so many of these great men, some who are no longer with us, and I am extremely proud of my dad, Seymour Samuels.
Be safe, and keep up the good work.

My family and I live on Mogul Drive. I know we are at the end of Yorktown but I didn't see our streets listed in the NCN for the Santa/Fire Truck Candy Cane Visit. I know my Kindergartner & my 7th grader (who won't admit it!)would love to see Santa. I have plenty of little neighbors and I know they would also love to see Santa. I hope this is the site for these type of simple request. If not can you direct me to the proper email address? Thank you as always. Mogul Park Association/Secretary Maureen Bossio

You guys have no idea how much it means to me to be able to see how much my uncle, Mike Anderson, meant to everyone. I knew of all the things he did for the town and I know how many people will miss him. I cant think of one bad thing he ever did. Once again I thank for this memorial. I live almost 1000 miles away and still havent visited since he pasted. This is a great thing to be able to read about what he has done and accomplished.
Great pics cause thats how i remember my Uncle
Thank You
Great site! And good luck with your parade and carnival this week. If any of the participating FDs are still looking for music, have them give me a call. We're available.
All the best!

What a awsome website. I remeber my years with YHFD fondly. Left Yorktown to be a Police Officer with Broward County Sheriffs Office in South Florida. I was injured twice in the line of duty, and retired on a disability pension. I love keeping an eye on Yorktown, I miss it very much.
Stay safe & keep up the good work.

I grew up in Yorktown. I remember the parades in all of the local towns, carnivals and things. I attended school in one building, K-5 thru 12th grade. Graduated in 1960 and joined the Air Force for 20 years, served in country Vietnam. My family (father, mother, Uncles/Aunts) were real active in the YHFD and Auxillary. I would like to see on your web-site a history of Presidents and Chiefs. That would be real interesting to see.
Great site to compliment an already great Department. It's been a priviledge for me to work with you guys in the 15 years I have been affiliated with Croton FD.
Looking forward to the years ahead with our friends to the east!

My heart felt sorrow to the members of YHFD and to Ray for the loss of Joe. I rember joe with those sneaky eyes and the cigars, and even the laughter he brought around the fire house. Even his jokes made us laugh. He will be missed by all. R.I.P. JOE
